Therapeutic Treatments
Shiatsu
Shiatsu is a manual treatment method and preventative healthcare therapy that promotes vitality, relieves fatigue and stimulates the self-healing power by applying pressure to specific points on the body. Shiatsu means literally¨pressure with the fingers¨. For this treatment it is advisable to wear easy and loose fitting clothes.
In this Japanese form of acupressure are used primarily thumbs, palms of the hands and elbows to work on the acupuncture points on the meridians of our body, based on the Traditional Chinese Medicine. The Shiatsu treatments also involve stretching, joint mobilizations and manipulations and other massage techniques.
Reflexology
Reflexology is a therapy in which pressure is applied to certain parts (reflexzones) of the feet, that correspond to all the glands, organs and other body parts. If the flow of energy within a certain area of the body is blocked or out of balance, it can affect the reflexzone or part of that area on the foot.
Reflexology helps your body into harmony and balance. The goal is to relieve pain and stimulate the body's natural way of self healing. During the treatment, both feet and lower legs are massaged. Sometimes the reflex areas on the hands or head are treated.
If shiatsu is not suitable for you or another type of therapy is preferred, then this method of therapeutic treatment can be used.
